18°–22° are optimal conditions. Anything over 25° is a no-go. Spraying outdoors 15°–20° fine.
Rough up the surface of the old lacquer with Scotch-Brite pads (3M 7448—Light Grey (Ultra Fine Hand) 600–800 grit) or 800 wet & dry.
Tack rag over the entire surface immediately before spraying.
Spray two or three top coats; greys are normally two coats, with red micas needing up to three.
Leave 20–30 minutes between coats. Don’t touch it.
Spray 2 normal coats, with 15 minutes in between coats. First coat very light. Allow to dry overnight. Leave 3–4 days before fitting trim or polishing.
