Presented for sale is this immaculate genuine Mini Cooper from 1991 with only 72,000 miles on the clock.
Rare carburettor model, one of the last produced before Rover switched to fuel injection.
‘Jeffrey’ has been the subject of a full and complete rebuild since 2004—that's over a decade off the road. Please view the restoration page for a complete journey through the process.
To summarise, this car has been rebuilt as standard with only slight modification where necessary. The engine has been fully rebuilt, so has a minimum rebore of +20thou which boosts the capacity from 1275cc to 1293cc. The standard ‘pea-shooter’ exhaust with catalytic converter has been replaced with a stainless steel RC40 to see the best of the engine potential. This has been expertly tuned by Malcolm at TTP Performance in Bromsgrove, where he also set up the suspension by hand to ensure excellent driveability. The brake calipers have been rebuilt using stainless steel pistons to ensure they won't corrode in the future as is the way with the standard chromed pistons. Other than these modifications, the car is just as it was when it left the factory.
Being originally purchased through the Rover employee scheme, it boasts a number of extras such as mudflaps, a lovely numberplate and custom paint. I have a full set of vinyls to hand which can be added at the request of the buyer (I didn't want to add them in case the buyer would prefer the car plain)
This is an investment for the future, it's value will only increase—it has increased in value by over 500% since I purchased the car. Agreed valuation of £15,000. Serious offers only, this website also comes with the sale as well as a monsoon car cover, roof rack bars, and every bit of history I have to hand, organised.
